Biography
Daniel Muriungi is an advocate of the high court of Kenya, and the Managing partner of the firm. He is an LLB (Hons) graduate from the University of Nairobi and the Kenya School of Law where he attained a Post Graduate Diploma in Law. He also holds an MSc. in Environmental Planning and Management from Kenyatta University.
He is a qualified Associate of the institute of Chartered Arbitrators and a patent Agent. He is a lawyer of considerable experience in conveyancing and commercial matters, He was previously a senior Associate in that field at Ahmednasir Abdikadir & Company Advocates.
He was one of the founding partners of Sheikh & Company Advocates and the Managing partner prior to his exit to incorporate Daniel & Kenneth Advocates where he is the Managing Partner.
Recent Work
He has acted for several corporate companies, banking institutions and individual clients. Some of the corporates he has acted for include National Bank of Kenya, DIB bank, Gulf African Bank, First Community Bank, Credit Bank, Sidian Bank, Kingdom Bank, the LAPFUND and Housing Finance. His broad expertise grew from his involvement in the drafting of security documents for commercial banks in Kenya and his involvement in setting up the first Sharia Compliant bank in Kenya (including drafting the security agreements and security documents). Added to that is a deep practical knowledge of commercial and residential real estate. This includes finalization of various real estate transactions and ownership documents.
